Dr. Joe Nelson
Pastor
Dr. Joe Nelson has been the Pastor of Community Bible Church for 20 years. Pastor Joe has a doctorate of ministry and pastoral care. He serves the congregation faithfully in preaching, teaching, counseling, and leading. He has also taught for Minford Local Schools for 25 years, with 30 years overall as an educator.

Samuel Lore
Associate Pastor
Samuel Lore joined as Associate Pastor with Community Bible Church January of 2025. Samuel has an Associate’s Degree in Christian Ministry w/ Biblical Concentration from Ohio Christian University. Samuel ministered for 17 years with his Southern Gospel-singing Family group, The Lore Family. Samuel serves in the church in preaching, teaching, helping with the youth program and helping with music. Samuel also works as a Chaplain for Adena Hospice.

Scott Carr, Mark Rucker, Eddie Yonce, & Chester Kouns
Deacons
These 4 men are the deacons of Community Bible Church. They serve our church in leading services, working, and visiting. In addition to their deacon work, they are also busy in other roles. Scott Carr teaches Sunday School and preaches. Mark Rucker sings in the choir and sings during services with his wife, Lori. Eddie Yonce plays bass, drums, and sings. And Chester Kouns teaches Sunday School, preaches, plays bass, and sings.
Beverly Kennedy & Dinathe Mitchell
Clerk & Treasurer
Beverly Kennedy (Left) serves as the church Clerk. She keeps the records of the church, including taking minutes during meetings, licensing members, and giving out baptism certificates. Dinathe Mitchell (Right) serves as the church treasurer. She handles all tithes and offerings, money records, and financial reports for the church. In addition to their roles as clerk and treasurer respectively, Beverly and Dinathe stay busy elsewhere in the church. Bev runs the card and flower ministry of the church, and Dinathe runs the livestream and video ministry. The church is truly thankful for the work of both of these women.
Ronnie & Cathy Davis
Songleader & Pianist
Ronnie Davis (Right) leads the congregational singing for the church. His wife, Cathy (Left), is the church pianist. They are a key to each service, as we raise our voices together to worship.
Pearl Murphy
Organist/Keyboards
Pearl Murphy is the church organist. In addition to her playing with the band, she also plays the piano and sings during service with her sister, Tawney.
